For those who are complaining of breakouts; I'm a licensed Aesthetician and swear by Korean products. I'm 28 and have very sensitive skin.
This is a GREAT product, on of my favorite CC creams! But that's not why I wrote this.
Why on earth are people wearing Korean cosmetics without knowing essentials? LOL... ALWAYS at least wear a moisturizer under Korean face makeup. Some people may not need it, but it will never hurt or break you out if you get one of the products I mention later; just help prevent fine lines, brighten skin, refine pores and even out skin tone...
This is a Korean cosmetic product meant to primarily be worn by people with *Korean skincare routines*, not curious caucasians with no knowledge of the other regular Korean beauty practices lol (no offense) I'm simply an Aesthetician who mainly wears and uses Korean cosmetics.
They would never wear makeup or even leave the house bare-faced without their morning skincare ritual, including the last step; using a cream or gel-gream that moisturizes all day and creates a moisture barrier to lock moisture in while keeping the outer skin hydrated. I use this product myself and have about five other brands of CC Cream in my collection, but have multiple day and night routines depending on my makeup coverage, skin condition, and what I'm trying to accomplish; so whether you break out or not has a lot to do with moisture levels as this goes on much like a strong primer, and whether or not you take proper care of your skin to begin with.
A lot of people won't have problems with this or any other CC Cream. They probably have normal skin, combo, or oily skin, as most CC/BB Creams also control sebum.
BUT, the problem is handled easily. Under cosmetics or even without makeup, you should NEVER wear nothing on your skin after cleansing or go completely bare-faced. Environmental factors, sebum secretion and bacterium, free-radicals, pollution, fine lines...ugh
Always wear at least a light Korean moisture gel-cream with SPF as most of them form the aforementioned barrier to lock in moisture while keeping the outer layers supple, protect against outside causes of oxidation of cells and free-radicals, and also protects against pollution; all of which ages you. Korean moisture products prevent aging and refines pores, fine lines and brightens any dullness you may have.
Definitely, even if you dont use anything else for facial care, wear a KOREAN (American brands are hit and miss, some will break you out badly like an intentional comedogenic) light water-based gel-cream moisturizer under your first layer of makeup. Rub it in and then pat for better absorbtion. My favorites that are the least expensive are the Goddess T Stem Cell (made from tree and plant stem cells, like the Alpine Rose, no actual human stem cell) and It's Skin Hyaluronic Moisture gel-cream, as they are light and great for spring and summer and meant to be worn under makeup or alone, and makes the makeup really "fit" your face. CC and BB Cream just glide right on with no drying out later or oil imbalances that cause breakouts. It also prevents most irritations. Basically they seal moisture into your skin and ready your face for for makeup application. I recommend It's Skin Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer for under makeup, the other at night usually, thought they both work really well.
Out of about 100+ I own, no Korean skin product has ever broken me out and I used to break out horribly until I switched. Partially because a lot of Korean Aestheticians are horrified by the chemicals in American skincare and how we treat our skin. If I use anything with benzoyl peroxide now it literally leaves burns on my face, and it was a high end brand that had never done it before the switch. They are all about gentle but effective products; they mostly use their hands and fingers for anything facial, even scrubs. Korean skincare actually usually clears skin up, especially Bee Venom (they're safe as long as you dont have bee allergies; basically if you can eat honey, you can use this) and Snail Mucin. If you're younger and have no fine lines (like myself) it's better to start using things like hyaluronic acid, collagen, pore clearing, brightening products, and tea tree products and aloe products for calming skin and keeping it clear so these things never actually become problems. I'm 28 and everyone things I'm 19-21 and my skin feels like satin. I hope I at least helped someone out
