this container is at least the size of a Ben&jerrys pint of ice cream! It moisturized much better than aloe gels that I have used, leaves skin soothed and plump like jelly. It does not dry into a tightened film like aloe gel, but is *really* absorbed into the skin and leaves no residue whatsoever while my skin remains plump (but not puffy) and hydrated. It has not caused me to break out or had any negative effect on my skin at all. In fact after about a week of daily use on my face I don't feel my face tightening uncomfortably after i cleanse my face before I put on moisturizer, and wake up with baby soft, non-oily skin that shines bright without being greasy at all (I believe that's called "glowy"?)
Anyway it is more comfortable to apply than my facial creams, which do NOT make my skin "glowy" or plump and moist like this product does, and all leave some sort of residue that balls up and rolls off my face if I try layering different products. This gel is wonderful and is what aloe gels SHOULD be, without any of the drawbacks.
